The SCPA is committed to bringing people of all ages to the park and has been presenting free programming and activities since 2010 including folk dancing, Childrens’ Creatures Day, dance performances and the annual free summer concert series which has become the centerpiece of SCPA programming efforts.  Even amid the ongoing construction at the park, the SCPA has worked tirelessly to ensure entertaining and welcoming events at the river.

In addition to drawing people from all over the city to the park, activities presented by the SCPA also serve to provide financial assistance for the continued maintenance and beautification of the park through fees paid to Solar 1, the organization contracted to manage the park.
